We landed in Sydney Friday evening and checked into the Crown Plaza at Darling harbor. Sydney is everything Auckland is not. This place is a jumping and busy town.
We played the tourists and tried to do everything. City tours, harbor tours, went to a beach resort and took a train trip into the Blue Mountains. Beer is expensive, but who cares.
The only kangaroos we saw were at the zoo, and the only time I heard Waltzing Matilda, it was being played on steel drums by a East Indian next to a cruise ship. No Crocodile Dundee around here.
